Chicago Memorial Day Weekend

Eric and I spent our weekend by beautiful Lake Michigan, where we will be spending a lot of our time this summer.  Eric rode his new (used) road bike, and did some fishing.  He caught some!

I walked and read my book.  I’ve been shopping for a used road bike, but my size is hard to find.

We also watched the show and Skyped with my family.    It felt so good to see my family!  That web cam was a good investment.

Actually, we Skyped and watched the last three minutes of the show.  I don’t have a lot to say about the show.  It was good… it was pretty much what I remembered and what I expected.

I also did some shopping at Forever 21 (yay neon!) and did some eating, of course.  This is a gourmet grilled cheese and curly fries from Rocks.  I ordered the sandwich for the curly fries, and that’s the honest truth.  They’re out of this world

Eric had a sandwich filled with pulled pork, cheese, macaroni and cheese and onion straws.  I know what I’m getting next time.  Oh, and that last picture is pizza from Pie Hole and a Goose Island root beer.  The pizza was delicious, the root beer was kind of meh.  I guess I should try Goose Island beer.  I don’t think I’ve had it before.

So that’s our pleasant little holiday weekend!  I hope you had a great one as well.
