2.Dale Earnhardt, Sr. and Dale Earnhardt, Jr.
Dale Earnhardt, Sr. is without a shadow of a doubt one of the best to ever driven in NASCAR. He has won races such as the Southern 500 and Coca-Cola 600 multiple times, and in 1998 he was named one of NASCAR’s 50 greatest drivers. He finished first in the Winston Cup Series (now known as the Sprint Cup Series) seven times, tied for the most all-time. Dale Jr. made his NASCAR Sprint Cup Series debut at the 1999 Coca-Cola 600. Dale Jr. has been named the most popular driver of the Sprint Cup Series 13 times. He was the Busch Series Champion in 1998 and 1999, and has won races including the Daytona 500 and the Can-Am Duel.
Sadly, Dale Sr. died at the end of the 2001 Daytona 500. But in one of the most emotional moments in NASCAR history, at the Pepsi 400 (the first race held at Daytona since Dale Sr.’s death), Dale Jr. was victorious.
