The Manchester City coach Guardiola did not waste any time with his new signing as the team prepares for their Premier League opener.

John Stones has gone straight into the thick of it with Manchester City after sealing his move from Everton this week.

Pep Guardiola is looking forward to working with the £47.5m defender and got to work with him in a training session on Wednesday.

As City prepare to host Sunderland on Saturday, the City coach was seen taking the centre-half to one side to demonstrate something that he wanted to drive home.

The Blues will hope Stones can go straight into the side for their first Premier League game, having had more pre-season minutes with Everton this summer than any senior City defender has had .
