Tom Brady was having an MVP-caliber season until injuries took their toll on his offensive teammates. You know how the rest of the 2015 season played out.

Despite the Patriots finish, Brady has been nominated for the Best NFL Player award at the 2016 ESPYs. He’ll be in the running alongside Antonio Brown, Julio Jones, Cam Newton and JJ Watt.

Newton, the NFL’s MVP in 2015, is likely the favorite for the award. He earned 48 of 50 MVP votes from the Associated Press before the postseason took place. Brady earned one vote, and Cardinals quarterback Carson Palmer also earned one vote.

Brady is no stranger to the honor. After a record-breaking 2007 season, he won the Best Player ESPY in 2008. Last year, Rob Gronkowski won Best Comeback Athlete for helping the Patriots win a Super Bowl after suffering a season-ending kne injury in 2013. The Patriots-Seahawks Super Bowl also won the Best Game ESPY last year.
